What is remote monitoring?
Remote monitoring is where a system is linked to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). This enables the system to automatically alert the ARC in the event of a fire being detected by the fire alarm system or an intruder activates an intruder alarm etc.
Where should I use Remote Monitoring?
The areas in which this would be most valuable would be when a building is unoccupied and the fire service would need to be contacted at the earliest stage of any fire incident no matter what time of day or night. Remote fire alarm monitoring can help prevent a catastrophe happening when your building is empty as the fire brigade will be contacted the moment the ARC receives the signal from the monitoring device. This gives the best possible chance of the fire being dealt with before it has the chance to take hold and cause substantial loss of property and possibly the loss of life.
